Location
Absolute Location- 23N 10W
Relative location- northern and western hemisphere, it is bordered by Namerca, Belize, Guatemala, US, Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea and the Pacific ocean.
Place
Physical Characteristics- Mostly consists of rough plateaus and mountains, only one third of the country is flat. Most of the rivers are small and dry up inland the two main rivers are the Colorado and Rio Bravo de Norte. There is great climate variety because of the different altitudes and latitudes. The rain fall decreases from southeast to northwest. Climate ranges from cold at the highest peaks to tropical rainy or dry in the lowlands.
Human Characteristics- 80% of the Mexican population is roman catholic and is the largest Spanish speaking language. Yet around 100 languages are still spoken in some parts of Mexico. Most native Mexican have brown hair and brown eyes. There are also Aztec ruins, the chicken ltza and pyramids built from the Aztecs.
Movement- Plain: Major airlines are Aero México and Mexicana.
Taxi : In Mexico city there are a lot of thefts and kidnaps so most people only use yellow or white taxis with visible meters.
Buses: There are lots of buses and trolley buses and they are the most common form of transportation in Mexico.
Metro: There is a metro system that is qualified to be the best in the world.
Regions: The five major regions - Central Plateau, Sierra Madres, the Chiapas highlands, Gulf Coastal plain and lower Sonoran Desert region.
Human and Environment Interaction
Modify- Chop down trees to build houses and have air conditioners for the hot sun.
Adapt - People in Mexico wear hats and thin clothes to withstand the sun.
Depend- In the urban parts of Mexico people still depend on rain fall and rivers for drinking water and water to water crops and animals.
